Will not start, all of a sudden.

Explorer will not start. Ran fine from CO to MO. Re-fueled last night, and ran fine this morning for 20 miles. Stopped and when re-started, rough rough idle and then stopped, will not re-start. Where is fuel filter??? Any help?? Please? No money, any suggestions? Vehicle is in great shape, this has to be something simple. Thanks so much for helping!

What sounds (if any) does it make when you try to start?

Does it click?
Does the fuel pump prime the system? (short whine when you turn the key to "on")
Does it crank?
Does it fire and die?

Do you get the sound of the fuel pump for a couple of seconds when the key is just turned on? No, then you might try switching the fuel pump relay with another non critical one.
