They are from a 02 Explorer, 16x7's however, I am pretty sure that there is a different offset on those rims than on older explorers. I put LT265 75R/16's on those rims on my 02 explorer, no rubbing, but with a different offset they might rub an older X bad.

You can contact a wheel and tire shop and they have info on the different explorers offsets, they may be the same but that is what I would look for, Oh how much do they want for them.??

My thoughts.

Thanks for the info. They were on ebay for $530 with tires.

They won't fit, well they do but they will rub the sway bar at full lock. I test fitted ones from parents 2002 X(exact same wheel as above) on my '95 and they rubbed. i really like the look of it though, but the wouldn't trade! Can you beleive it :(

Yeah, that is what I figured. I thought the 16" wheels on the older X's look a little more off set than the 02's

my mom has a 2001 sport with those rim's.. i have a 2001 XLT if you want i can see if they fit my truck.. i dont know if anything has changed from your sport to my truck.. let me know

Nope, itz not the same rim, garunteed!

I know the backspacing is different from 2nd gen to 3rd gen, but I also heard that maybe the lug pattern was different too.

No, its still the 5-4.5. The wheels and tires look really good on my '95. but if i'm gonna pay for wheels that rub, i'm gonna get good looking ones. and they have skinny tires in my opinion for a 16 inch wheel.

They are, that's why I put LT 265 75R/16's on my 02 Explorer

 HMMMMM there's an idea! wat do you think of 255/70R15 on a sport?

Isn't that the stock tire size on he Sports ??

nope, unfortuanatly its 235/75. i want to go with something wider but still try to keep the orginal height
Thanks a lot BTW They're 15 inch rims, 255/70 came standard with the 16 inch wheel

oh yeah my bad, you shouldn't have any problem going bigger though.
