I have a 97 ex XLT 5.0. I was wondering if these soft ride AAL's will fit the Ex or not? Any help with that would be great! Thanks guys and Gals.

Chill, man. What AAL's are you talking about? We are here to help, but when posts get neglected its usually because there is not enough information present to help the OP.

I dont think those will work. I have a brand new set of add a leafs in a box never installed. 50.00 shipped and they are yours

Paypal is Trckmagik@aol.com

BUMP ME AGAIN!! Can't I get an answer as to if I am correct? I know that the Ex has a 2.5" wide leaf, and the 80-85 F150 does also!! I just want to dbl check before I order!!

Seems to me that you already have your mind made up and you have already answered the question for yourself then.
I have even offered to save you 50.00 US Dollars and that was shrugged off.

Good luck with your order sir. :salute:

Soft ride AALs....kind of an oxymoron since AALs lift the vehicle by pushing downward on the spring, increasing the arch and thus stiffening the ride.

HHMMM!! Well, don't some companies offer "soft ride Leaf packs"? I looked at leaf packs that offer lift for other vehicles, and they claim a "softer" ride than other products. I guess, softer as far as an AAL can go. NOT stock "soft"!

Leaf packs have multiple leaves which can be adjusted for ride quality. an AAL is just one stiff leaf...the stiffness provides the lift so if you make it softer it won't provide any lift.

I'm not sure about those you posted but I recommend these:

they're cheaper and guaranteed to fit.
