Will these wheels fit

I have a 99 Explorer sport, The wheels that I want to put on are:

bolt pattern: had it checked will fit
size: 18x7.5
offset: 42
The tires that are on them are 245/45zr18 96w

So just checking if they will go on without any problems

I think that offset is too high so they will rub on the inside. Someone will pry chime in that knows for sure though...

Would wheel spacers fix that problem or would it just be better to get rims that fit

It’s always best to get wheels that fit correctly.

I’ll never trust wheel spacers, especially if my family is going to ride with me.

When choosing new wheels should I just make sure the bolt pattern,offset,and width are the same and just make sure the diameter of the tire for them are the same as stock or would it be ok a inch smaller?

You can run a smaller tire if you like. It’s usually best to stick close to the factory dimensions. You could push them out slightly for more stability.
