depending on the rim manufacturer, you may have to take a die grinder to your calipers and clearance them. 02-05 explorers werent meant for 15s but some people have luck

I recently went to less schwab looking to get some larger tires on my 04 XLS and wanted something around the size your asking about to give it a bit of a tire lift and just make generally meaner looking. I was told no way you can fit a tire that size on that truck unless you did some major trimming or lifting. :/ Ive seen tires that big on rigs before around here but haven't been able to get ahold of anyone in regards to what they did (or didn't do) in order for them to fit properly. The rims I have no clue, but that's what I know about the tires. Hope it helps!

Just take of one of the current wheels and test fit the new rim. If it fits then it will clear with the tire on at the point of the caliper.

It should not take 20 mins to test fit a rim

i am putting spacers between the wheel and hub so the bolt spacing is right. the caliper will sit in the widest part of the wheel. maybe it will just fit around the caliper

They fit. they rub when i turn tho so i took the front ones off...how much is a lift kit about for my 04

$250. Call 909-702-7462. Ask about lift spacers for your explorer
