I'm talking about gas mileage and performance, like when I stomp on it will it go any better than before. I know it will smooth out the idle, but will it make the truck perform any better? Thanks

Only if it's leaking.

I personally noticed a little better throttle response. I also replaced the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets though. Mine were pretty bad and the bolts were quite loose. I'm not sure what just tightening the bolts will do for you other than stop pinging and leaks. Keep in mind this improvement is compared to how it before I fixed the problem. In terms of better performance than right off the assembly line, no. It just helps to restore what it can do.

Wont get better gas mileage but the ping will slightly dissapear.
