warn winch

I actually worked out the specs, you can install a warn 8000 behind the bumper and cable & controls coming out the air dam.

It would take a few pieces of angle iron welded or bolted to the frame but it will fit. I had carboard cutouts made and it fits snug back there.

I thought it would look good hidden away, but unfortunately the mod bug bit hard, and a warn Tr4nsformer came up on eBay cheap I couldn't pass it up.

Mounted with a factory bumper on a 2nd gen.

cool thanks i might have to look into that

ok i looked and were you thinking of attaching it to the radiator bottom support??? cause that just might work with some angle iron.

actually, I'll have to look for my plans.

But off the top of my head, I had it going between the frame rails, with a bracket dropping the support about 2" on both rails.

So it ends up looking like a U-shape. with the winch in the middle of the U.

It fit perfectly, with access through the front for remote.
