Looking for some help. I saw several posts with people having similar issue. I have a 2008 Explorer, just bought it, and my first Ford. Really like the truck had it now 2 weeks and everything seemed perfect until this week. I was on the highway driving about 70-75 mph, which I had done several times previously, but this time there was a cross wind. As the wind kicked up I get an intermittent whistle at the right side of the windshield.. has anyone had and resolved the same problem. I saw a Ford rep (Cory) monitoring the site and was hoping he might offer some advice. New member and hoping to hear back. Thanks for the help

i get wind noise where ever the wind is blowing, even more at the windshield ... I take it as the price you pay for driving a large block of steel that is anything but aerodynamic

I had that couple years back, noise is unbearable esp when i hit 150kph. Reinstalling the windshield and replaced all door seals but to no avail. You'll get use to it

I dont drive in the 94mph range but would imagine that the wind noise is going to get bad. .. Ive had mine up to 100 once truck does not feel to happy... Lol

Come on all.. there must be someone who knows the fix. I can't believe this is an accepted situation. I have had two Toyota SUV's and a Chevy and never have seen anything like this. First, and could be last Ford..

I think the problem is caused by an issue with your ride's windshield seal. Air is leaking through it, causing the noise.

Few posts ago someone mentioned getting a new windshield and seal and problem did not go away

Is it a "Wind noise" or "Air leak"

While it is possible to seal an area to eliminate the noise of air leaking in, it may not be possible to stop wind noise created by fast moving air acting on protruding windshield seals, roof racks, mirrors etc.

Wind whistle all fixed. Had a good cross wind today so I took a few supplies and made trip down the highway and sure enough there was the whistle. I stopped and put a strip of 3M clear tape over the molding where the windshield meets the A-pillar and another small piece where the plastic cowl panel overlaps the windshield and .. bingo.. no noise! I drove it in ever condition to confirm.. took tape off and noise came back. I bought clear automotive silicon adhesive sealant and put a thin bead under the molding edge and under where the cowl molding overlap. Neatly wiped excess away, you can't even tell I sealed it, and it is now completely quiet under all conditions.. thought Ai would pass information along..

Can you please post some pictures of exactly where you applied the sealant? Thanks.....
