2018 Explorer Sport
Just rolled 2000 miles on my 2015 Sport and had to have all of the high gloss black molding replaced. The molding came from the factory scratched and scuffed like someone tried to use sandpaper on it. Dealer agreed and replaced it all. Driving it home and the passenger side front piece came off on the freeway. Dealer says this is a known issue with the plastic on these new vehicles and they keep the front pieces on hand. Went back to the dealer this morning to get replacement and the one they have in stock is broken. UNREAL! This is my 2nd Explorer ( just turned in a 2013 Limited), and its the small things that just keep cropping up. Dealer always takes care of it, but its a day here and a day there. Embarrassing when I'm tooling around in a loaner or a rental car because my $50k Explorer is in the shop AGAIN!

Yup. The little things. Stuff flying off. Water leaking into the vehicle through weld seams. Caulking packed holes. Weld seamer all over the place. Hmmmmmm.

Ya that "A" pillar applique design is very poor, they even knew about it when it was brought up at QC meetings at CAP during prototype builds.

My 11 Limited blew off on the I5 near Seattle and I never saw it again. To top it off even after they filled the hollow with foam and redesigned the clips and rubber seals they still failed on some vehicles.

Even the subsequent fixes through 11,12,13,14,15 model years has been substandard.

I hope its addressed on 16 refresh but who knows.
