window pops out

anyone know how the windows are held in place? My drivers door window pops out of the u shaped clamps on the regulator arm. Do they just wrap around the glass?

This is a photo of the back door channel and you can see it sits in the U-channel "glued" in with what appears to be Silicone RTV.

Note: This is a damaged door and the glass has come out of the channel.
