Window sticker mumbo jumbo

I believe when I was checking for my 2011 Window Sticker that may have been the way it used to work but as per blwnsmoke's recent posts, that date appears to up date over a period of days (1 week?).

I thought that is how it worked too. Frankly I havent been paying attention much. The Atlas Blue that I ordered that I am not taking shows 6/28 as of today however the actual build date was 6/28 so either it updates weekly now OR it stops updating once it is built.

Has it only updated 3 times or does it give the day you look at it, i.e. if you check it tomorrow does it say 7/3/2019? I thought it was the date the system generated the copy of the window sticker, so every time you request a copy using the link it generates a new copy.

The date at the bottom definitely does NOT update every day. I notice that for sure, so the bottom date has nothing to do with when the system generates a new copy as a result of an online inquiry.

In my case, the date at the bottom of the window sticker updated every seven days, always on a Tuesday.

I understand it’s going to take as long as it’ll take to be built and delivered. I also understand mine is a dealer stock/ordered unit, but the fact that the only date that doesn’t change on my sticker is 2019/5/30 is worrying me, does it take that long to make a dealer ordered car? Eagerly waiting for it.

Yours was built 5/30 or 5/31 so that date will not change on the sticker.

I have not seen May builds delivered yet from looking online. The first built get buried in the lot. The fact that 6 weeks were built and stored in lots.. have to be reinspected, then have to be shipped (stock orders have lowest priority for builds and shipping), it takes a lot of time to work through the earliest of builds.

Mine was built May 21 and delivered to Columbus, OH July 12th. Looks like I got lucky.
