2001 Explorer XLT
I just bought a used 2001 Explorer XLT. The truck is in excellant condition and only has 28,000 miles. I am very happy with it so far. It didn't have the original window sticker in the glove box and I would really like to get a copy of it. I talked to the Ford dealer that I bought it from (they got it at the auction), and they told me that they couldn't get a copy of it for me. I went on the Ford website and asked them if they could get me a copy of it. They e-mailed me back and said that the window sticker is generated at the factory and that they couldn't get it for me. I find that hard to believe. Any one have any suggestions?

what window sticker? what dos it say?

Ahoy there matey. He is talking about the sticker that lists all the options, option prices, desination and delivery fees and final price.

they dont do that here

When I bought my '95 T-bird used in 09/95 the dealer I bought it from printed a sticker/lable that closely resebled the window sticker. It was the same size and listed all of the options on my T-bird as well as the retail prices for all of the options. It also listed the standard equipment and projected mileage. There were a few things missing from the sticker, however it did a reasonably good job of telling me what my T-bird came with, how much it sold new for and what kind of mileage I'd get out of it. The dealership that I bought my T-bird from was Quality Ford in Toledo, Ohio. Maybe locate them on the internet and try sending them an e-mail asking them how they did it.
