Window vent shades

I bought the window vent shades (4) for $60.00. Two weeks later car wash must have broke it, anyway, I called the company wanting to buy one, passenger front door, but was unable. My question, what pick up truck set will work ?? They are only $43.00 so it will save me a few dollars. Thanks in advance for replies

Just get the set for the 2 door sport. I don't remember how much they were when i got them, but that's an option.

The sport doors are actually longer than the 4 door Ex's... So I don't think you could get the shades for the sport and make them work on your XLT.

ranger ones will work fine if you only want to buy 2 . 60 bucks for a set seems awfully high for 4, i only payed 39 for all 4 at wallmart. mine are Ventshade brand too, not just some cheapo wal mart brand. if you got the recipt, id bring yours back and go to wallmart and buy a set for way cheaper.

vent shades/visors

I noticed on Ebay there are a few sellers handling different brands and the options for buying sets of 2 or 4. Essentially two sellers exist. Use key words"Explorer Vent Visors" or try the later with "Shades" or just plain "Explorer Vent"...........

I have a question if anybody knows or sees this post: Does anyone have experience with the Drawtite brand of vent shades? They are the ones that install without tape and if I gathered from a picture of them run all the way down the mirror mounts on the front windows. I wonder if they chatter at highway speeds, or alter the window seal's ability to seal out air and noise due to their installation method.

And those VentShades at Wal-Mart sound like a good bet. Those are probably the tape-on type installation? Any complaints or problems with that type?

I'd really like to get an outfit of them soon, but am not sure which ones are the way to go.

I've had my Ventashades (3M tape on kind) for almost 2 years now and have had no problems. Only suggestion I would give is to put some tape on the bottom vertical section on the front to doors cause there isn't any from the factory and it will help hold them in place better. They cost me $44.00 at Summitt Racing.

WeatherTech just came out with a newer model where you do not need 3M tape. They just snap in place and they're made of thicker material and clearer. Ofcourse, for a steep price- $80 for 4.

my autoparts store said the sport ones will work with 4-doors to, but i dont know up to what year. if i am not mistaken, there should be a lifetime warranty on them. i have them on my ex and had them on my last car with no troubles...my buddy on the other hand managed to rip one off his dakota and he just took it in with the reciept and they grabbed a new one off the shelf and swapped out the part for him.

Thanks for the help. Looks like either way is OK, and I should go look at some.

And extra tape to the vertical section of the front shades must be near the mirror? Or it will be apparent when I go to do the installation?
