wiper blades?

i have bosch wipers and they always seem like they need to be wiped off in the snow and stuff. i'll clean them and then down the road they won't wipe and i have to pull over. are there any real good wipers out there that i can pick up?

Can you see that there are parts that aren't wiping? Or are you streaking? Streaking is just a buildup of gunk or oil/grease.

If there are parts that just don't seem to wipe very well, your wiper arms may be bent a little out of whack.

In Va this winter, we got a lot of ice and some snow..........now my wife's wipers don't work worth a cr@p!! I put new blades on and got the same results as the old ones. I need to go out and do a little "tweeking" of the arms.

no it not streaking, it's missing parts like you said. i don't think the arms are bent b/c they work fine when it just rains. i was thinking that the rubber on the blades was just hardening up to easily and not getting good contact with the glass. i was wondering if there was a blade out there that would prevent the blade to become stiff. thanks

Dont do any bending dude, remember that X's w'shield is like a wall and its gets alot of gunk buildup. Your best bet is to give it a fine clean down and then some treatment. That will fix her right up!!

Costco sells some nice winter blades but you can also try the Bosch micro blades from auto zone or pep boys.
I am using the costco up front and they never gets hard.

Here's a great trick for restoring worn blades. Get a rag and some acetone and dab some on the rag and give the blades a good wiping. It will remove all of the stragglers and then take a can of silicone spray, shoot the cloth and apply to the restored blades for protection. Works for me.

I find it is the ice/snow freezing in the little arms of the wiper that cause the problem. You just need to flex the blades and make sure there is no residual ice/snow stuck above the blades.
