I have a problem with the wipers on my 1993 aerostar. The intermittent speeds do not always work. The selector switch acts like there are dead spots in the control. Can you take it apart and spray contact cleaner to fix it
Thanks

I would first try substituting the Wiper Delay Timer Relay before taking apart anything, a lot easier and it might resolve the issue. In other words, it might be the relay, not the switch.

Thanks, where would the time delay module be located?

it's under the dash, driver's side, where exactly, and how to identify it, we need Brooklyn Bay since I am not familiar with the 1993, only 1986,1992, and 1997 Aerostar.

Cool, at the moment I am working on the wife's '98 Subaru defroster control/vent assembly. Some times you have to be Harry Huidino to get in to these tight spots. triple wrist joints would-----

I printed out your pic and will head off to Pull and Save when the rain quits.
Did your aero float during Sandy?

switch

i have a 92 and it was doing the same thing...i did not know about the relay, ..but replacing the turn signal switch solved my problem.....i hope the relay solves your problem......however...if it doesn't and you decide to get the turn signal stalk that has the wiper switch..be careful..........i ordered the assembly and after getting everything apart.....the electrical connector on the new part did not fit my wiring harness as the pins were in a different position......i wasn't happy.........i was able to transfer the new switch part to my old turn signal.....but it wasn't easy........so...be forewarned........like i said, i hope the relay solves your problem...
