Has any one with an Explorer/Mountaineer V8 changed stock wires to performance wires? What brand will fit the DIS pack?

Try calling summits tech line. They told me the only wires that showed on their computer
were Accel 9000's. Right now I am waiting for mine as they are on backorder. I will post on how the fit.

Got a coupla questions

RCRacer...
Do you have a link for Summit, and how much did the wires run??

EMSTaxi...
Do you have a diagram or picture of your air intake mods...might like to try it on my EB if it's working out for you.

Thanx

RVerdejo,
The web site for Summit is Dead Link Removed I checked the site for the wires and they do not show them, you will have to call them and have them loook them up. They told me the cost was around $73.00
if I remember correctly. It sounds a little high but if that is all you can find I guess we have to pay it.

Rverdejo, I don't have a diagram as of yet but I have explained what I did before. It's easier if you do a search for Airbox Mods with my name as the author. Here is another tip though...instead of leaveing the lower half of the airbox open, you may be to fit the shop vac hose into the "silencer" a piece that extends from the lower airbox to just behind the headlight. if this is the case, then you keep the warm air from the engine out and keep the cool air in.
Let me know how you make out.. Norman
