I need to get some new Spark Plug wires. After looking at all the options, I would prefer to go with a set of the Ford Motorsports 9mm wires.
I have 2 questions.
First, I am trying to find a set that will work with the Distributorless Ignition System. I can find pictures that show the correct connectors, but can't seem to get a part # for the ones that work with the DIS, if anyone has purchased these and knows the part number, I would greatly appreciate it.
My second question is with the routing of the Wires. I have heard from numerous sources that a big problem with ticking and what not on the v8 explorers comes from the routing of the wires and their proximity to each other, etc. What I'm wondering is does anyone know what the ideal routing path is for the wires on the 5.0? I know I am having some issues with misfires (among other things) and am just trying to completely eliminate them all in one fell swoop.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
