I have 2 DVC subs that are each 4 ohms. I have them connected with voice coils in series/parallel. My question is this....I have 2 wires running to the positive in my amp and 2 wires running to the negative in my amp, instead of splicing into the wires and just running one positive and one negative to the amp.
Does this make a difference on how my ohms the amp sees? I sure hope I explained it good enough?
Maybe to clarify some things this is how they are wired now. On one DVC sub I have the negative hooked up the the positive. Then I have the other positive hooked up to the amp's postive and the other negative hooked up to the amp's negative. The other sub is just the same. So instead should I connect those "other" positive and negatives to each of the other subs and then splice one wire to the amp to connect them both to the amp?
I am trying to get a 4 ohm load to the amp and my current setup might be showing it 8???
