Today it was raining so the streets were wet naturally. Well, I was making a left turn at a stop sign by my house but its not a 4-way stop. Its a two-way and it crosses a main road. A huge line of cars was coming from both directions . A space finally opened but more cars were coming. Great my chance to go. I hit the gas and I here the wheels slipping and I'm barely moving forward. I let go on the gas a bit and it goes but not very well. I made it before the cars got there but not by much. I hate not having LS. I have a 3.27 open. Oh well. Just one of those things you wish you had.

Don't wish too hard ;) ... Honestly, in a situation like that (low to no traction) a LSD is more of a problem than a help. With the open your back end stays straight b/c the one tire still has a grip on the road, even though the other one is spinning. With the LSD, both tires would have been spinning and coulda gotten you in alot of trouble b/c the backend could have moved side to side, around, whatever because neither tire would have had traction. You'll notice that most FWD and AWD cars have open front ends so that one of the steering/driving tires will retain traction even if the other is broken loose. That loss of traction makes for some good donuts though :D

Pfft...I thought you were talking about a Lincoln LS :p

Heh that's what I thought too.

I have to agree I have a Limited Slip Differential with 4.56's and in the wet or on Ice it can be a bit of a ride if I "get into the TB with my foot". I can step the rear out quicker than anything and that can be a bit hairy in four lane City driving!

Weeeeeeeeee...............Thump!

Very very true. I had the same experience with mine, but I have the 4.10 LSD. Well, I was turning left, I guess I hit the gas a little too hard so my left rear tire started to spin, the right rear tire was propelling the truck, then once I almost completed the turn, my whole rear end went loose and I spun a 180. First...I'd love to blame my tires because they really suck on wet pavement, then the LSD...but mostly the tires. I hate them and they still have another 20k, 30k miles to go!!!
