For those who is looking to get good quality filter .This is comparison between two .. .All I can say that quality of Hengst much better . Pleats are wider or taller .But most important size of filtration area larger on Hengst .. so flow is better in my opinion.. it’s just visual impressions..gonna compare them this weekend..

These are engine air filters right? The stock unit flows really well, and doesn’t restrict any power until you get into higher power levels.

Also try performance filters like K&N and AEM ( drop in type ) AEM feels like More low rpm torque..at least smoother shifting and better roaring sound of the engine

Yeah you’re not going to any more power out of a drop in filter, or sound (it’s still a closed box intake) or better transmission shifting (it doesn’t even have anything to do with the transmission). Only filter worth it’s markup compared to Motorcraft is the aFe unit and that’s because it is washable.

Little update .. if you will put Hengst filter engine runs much smoother …and cabin noise level is much much lower … Good stuff…I compare it with Motorcraft also… idling is much smoother with Hengst ..noise is lower also .

I used the Fram ultraguard air filter and it performs exactly the same as the oem air filter it came with. I have to do mine every 20K as I live in a dusty desert. The sensor harness on just past the airbox runs real tight when changing air filters though. I would have added a little slack with extra wire but whatever saves the company I guess.lol Edited for spelling.
