Does anyone know the part number for the cabin air filter cover? I have tried searching for it online but I keep coming up empty. My Ford dealership must have used a power drill/driver when replacing the screws and the tabs snapped off. For now, I've duct taped the filter in place but would like to have a proper cover.

Welcome to the Forum.
If the damage was caused by the dealership then they are the ones that should replace it. Did you mention it to them?

The original date of the filter change was June 2022. Right around January 2023, the glove box wouldn't close. I reached up behind it and the cover fell down. I did mention it to the service advisor when I went back in for service in Feb 2023. The advisor said he would order one but hasn't called back. It slipped my mind until I was doing the latest Sync update last week and I noticed the dash seemed overly dusty. I was hoping at this point to just order one online because it is cheaper than driving over there. I guess I could try and chase them. I've always been happy with them in the past, but this was just such an idiotic thing to do I'm not sure if I will need to switch dealerships.

Update.

Benny says this cover only comes as part of an entire $160 inlet duct assembly.

This seems like a major oversight by Ford.

The 5th generation cabin air filter cover is about $12 all in but of course it doesn't fit the 2020+

Time to start checking junk yards and/or going back to try and pressure Fort Mill Ford to fix this on their dime.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

If they broke it,they replace it!

I don't think the cover is held by screws although there's a place for it. It is held in by two tabs. That said, one of mine broke and now I use a screw.

You didn't read my initial post carefully; "...the tabs snapped off...". There are no tabs any longer thanks to the boneheaded technician that replaced my filter.
The are gone from the cover side.

It is not uncommon for the mechanics to intentionally break the tabs because they are a pain in the posterior. The screws should hold the cover in place, which is why almost nobody notices the tabs are broken.

I recently changed my filter out and will never pay someone to do it again. The hardest part was finding someplace to put the stuff my wife puts in the glovebox.

That's pretty crazy the cover isn't available separately! It's cheaply made and those tabs WILL break at some point. I'm pretty careful and broke one myself. The ability to set a screw is the only thing that saved me. Otherwise I'd be looking at the zip tie option.

Now that’s funny. Where your wife’s stuff goes.

But the technician broke off the mounting tabs not retaining. Check the photo. The tabs circled in yellow are what’s missing. No where for the screws to go and nothing to snap into the retainer clips.

I complained to the dealer but no response. Time to check the junkyard and find another dealer. I’ve bought 4 cars from them since 2018. You’d think they would care.

AHHHH. I missed that the first time around. If it moves and shouldn't, then duct it.
