wont get out of first gear!!!!

my tranny is stuck in first ...i always wait till my temp gauge says normal...and i checked if my fluid level was right..its right....if i get passed 50 mph...it switchs to 2nd gear as normal....no modes are done to this truck except the supercharger and the rear differential and yes its a 2wd

Do a search for the A4LD governer. The A4LD's tend to do this until the tranny temp goes up into the normal opreating range.

BINGO. Governor issue. lotsa good info on this particular problem online here. A common prob on older A4LD's. Easy DIY fix.
