I have a 98 Explorer XLT 4wheel drive 4.0 SOHC, my truck wont start. I just replaced the Neutral Safety Switch because it would only start in neutral, and I would have to wiggle it around for it to start and it would only start every once and a while. after I replaced it, it doesn't start at all no sounds at all. I need to know if there is anything else that would cause this. starter and alternator are good. PLZ HELP ASAP.

Try bypassing the neutral safety switch. Actually sounds to me you have it installed wrong.

How do you know the starter is good?

Try starting it in different gears and see whats happens. if it starts in gear then the neutral safty switch is installed wrong.

which transmission?

Which transmission is in your vehicle? My 5R55E has a digital transmission range (DTR) selector that allows the PCM to determine if Park or Neutral is selected. My 2000 wiring diagram for the manual transmission has a clutch pedal position switch that prevents starter from cranking with clutch engaged. Neither wiring diagram shows a "neutral safety switch".

2 other things that can confuse the nss are if the shifter lever bolts get loose and if the shift cable is not adjusted correctly.
