Okay. Currently driving a 94x pushing 200,x.. truck runs and had always ran strong. Has been a dd for years. Latly Ive had a huge problem starting the truck once it's warm. Almost as if it's not getting any gas. I've replaced the fuel pump/filter, plugs and wires, relays, checked for amps and voltage at the pump and injectors(when cold) checked for spark, vacuum leaks, cleaned mass air, and filter. Ive been having a hard time getting my scanner to communicate with my computer. It won't give me the codes, I can run a koer self test and get codes that way but when it isnt running it tells me it can't communicate with koeo. The truck will start strong and run strong when it's cold. Once up to operating temp it won't start again. It gives one big VROOM and instantly dies. Sometimes it just cranks without ever even trying to start. I am completely stumped as of now. Please help me!! I'm sick of being stuck for two hours waiting on my truck to get cold again.

fuel regulator maybe?I had a similar problem and replaced the fuel filter, regulator and fuel pump relay and that did the trick,no more driving to the corner store and leaving my vehicle on,lol

Try holding the gas pedal all the way to the floor when you try to start it hot.

If that helps it start your ect sensor is fubar.

i had this issue, along with crappy mileage, and rough idle (but fine when driving) as of yesterday...same thing you're saying. cold engine, fires right up. once i drove, park, come back out, it tried to turn over for at least 5-6 seconds before actually firing up...last night and today i swapped out the EGR valve (and in turn had to replace the tube going to the exhaust manifold because i broke it), and it runs like a new truck. starts every time right away (even when warm...tested this after a few 4-5 mile drives), idles ever so smooth, and my exhaust doesnt smell so heavy of gas. i think the EGR that was in there has never been changed, 170k miles.

i guess you could try that. the EGR valve was $55 for my 98 OHV, replacing tube i busted with new was $36 after my buddies auto parts account discount.
