won't start without a boost

99 explorer won't turn over with a fully charged battery i even hooked my car to it and still had to start the car before the x would turn over please help .alt is pushin 14v

how did you test the battery to make sure it was fully charged ?
sounds to me like it's bad or the wires leading to it need to be checked and maybe replaced, or new ends put on them,,

Check for corroded battery cables.

turned out to be a bad battery put new one in it fired right up must have had bad cell.

LOL. Common sense would tell you the battery would be the first thing to check, right?
