Woo Hoo!!! Gas compensation

Im so excited I just have to post this. I know it will probably make a lot of you sick, but bare with me.

My boss just called and wanted to know what the exact mileage for both my paper routes was because the main boss is devising a gas price compensation plan.

For every $.10 higher gas prices are now over last year at this time I get $.01. Right now gas is about $.70 higher than last year. So that means I get $.07 per mile X 40 miles a night = about $80 a month.

Nope, doesn't make me sick. I like my deal even better. My boss bought me a new 3500 Chevy, decked it out with everything I need, pays for all the gas, and I take it home.

bridgestone/firestone pays me $.36 a mile when i fill out a form..... that reminds me... i drove all over the place today... need to track that stuff....

just did the math, i made $30 today and i only used up not even half a gas tank.. and it costs me $26 to fill up from E.......

I work in Social Services, but get reimbursed at the rate of $0.35 per mile. I usually average about 150 to 200 miles per week, so roughly 50 to 70 bucks.

Nice wheels Wise Guy! The boss just bought me a new SERVICE VEHICLE, a Dodge Grand Caravan, 7 seater. Filled it with test equipment and tools and it is still a MINIVAN. :fire: At least it wasn't white. (barf) I hate minivans.

No doubt on the white thing. Deep metallic blue for me. It replaces the '98 I used to have that was Silver with a hue of purple in it. That was a cool color though. My boss keeps mentioning about needing to get the van lettered but whenever he brings it up I just remind him it will then be time for me to hand this one down to somebody else and get a new one. So far so good.
