I got my tires today...LOVE EM. BFG AT KO's 31-10.50-15's Lifetime balance and rotation,road hazard protection,changed out the spare with a goodyear 235 tax and state disposal fee..$500.00 Not bad I guess ...I put em on my stock 91 sport 4x4 and I just have to trim the front inner wheel wells, just a little rubbing no lift yet......yet...Anyway I'll let you guys know how they ride and hopefully Ill get some pic's out...dont have a digi -cam but I got a scanner.Just gotta take em.Talk to yall later...Im so excited...gotta go ridin'!
I'm going to (probably!) go with the 31-10.5 on my '97.
Are you concerned that your spare is a different height than the rest of the tires? If you have a limited slip rear, and run two different sizes, you'll tear up the clutches in the differential. When I buy mine, I'm going to get the spare upgraded to 31-10.5 also.
I was quoted about $650 for 5 of the KO's, mounted, balanced, new stems, etc. out the door.
Can you fit a 31" tire in the factory spare tire carrier? When I move back to the States I will purchase the 31" BFG ATs and have a diff installed in the rear; I will need the spare to be the same size as the other four tires for reasons already discussed. Another factor at work here is the fact that I also have a class 3 hitch.
well I dont plan on driving REAL far IF I blow a tire..I went with the 235 because I already had that size tires on my truck but the original spare was shot, so what the heck, itll get me out of a jam if I need it, and it saved me $100.00
Myself I'm going with both keeping the present spare where it is at.

A Friend of mine need his and it had a big cut in it. Must of happened when he went out four wheeling the week two before.
And adding a hitch mounted spare $43 From JCWhitney. I'll use it whenever I go out to play otherwise the small tire is fine for around town. At least until I get a good carrier for outside. Also keeping the Hi-Lift, etc. off until Play Time. It's a nice place to mount Spare, Gas can, what else will fit on that thing.
While I'm out in the sticks or actually here it's in the middle of the Dessert. The worst thing to happen is get a unfixable flat. When you do you have to limp back to Camp and then limp back home.
I remember that when it happened in my old 75 Bronco that it put a stop to my weekend. The other thing to remember is that I was Four Wheeling thru some trails that needed 4x4. When I got my flat. I still had to get out. I switched tires and put the spare on the Front and was lucky enough to get out in 2wd. Maybe I could have engaged it but was not sure. Either way I couldn't go back out. Just sat on the side lines and watched.
