I have a 2016 Explorer Limited. I have the Class III towing package and tow a small travel trailer with it. My vehicle is equipped with the MyKey system. According to the manual on vehicles equipped with this system there is no way to turn off the rear park aid (i.e. the beeps as you get closer to something backing up). The beeping gets super annoying as I am backing up to hook up to the trailer or when I am actually backing the trailer up it beeps constantly. I get that it is a "safety" feature, but it should be able to be disabled if the vehicle has a towing package installed. I know on my dad's F-150 he can disable it temporarily just for these situations. If anybody has any work around ideas, I would greatly appreciate them.

Unless it's changed since my '13, which has both systems, you can disable rear park aid in left hand menu. I don't have any "my keys" programmed, just the admin keys.

Check page 102 of your Manual. Lots of good info in those Manuals.;)

I read that page. The option to turn it off in the driver assist menu is not there on my vehicle. I already checked. If you read page 198 and page 54 that it can't be turned off if you have a mykey system. That's why I asked if anyone knew of a work around

I just read page 54 and see what you are referring to but something just doesn't sound right. I believe all models have the ability to create a My Key system. Have you created one? If so, perhaps that is why the option to turn the rear park aid off doesn't so. I'll have to check mine in the morning.

No I don't have any keys created and they are all listed as admin keys in the mykey section on the dashboard.

I checked mine this morning and noticed that it also does not have the option to turn it off as explained in post #4. I've never had a need to look for it before nor to use My Key. I checked the fuses and there is no fuse designated for that feature either. Not sure if this can be modified using Forscan or not.

After pushing many buttons today, I found one that will turn off the rear park aid on mine at least. On the center dash under the touch screen is a set of 3 buttons. The left is for the camera, the middle is for the hands off parking, and the third is will turn off the park aid (front and rear park aid for what it's worth).
