well i went and purchased a new fuel pump relay and matched it to the old one on my 91 4.0 ex r&r it amazing the pump ran.all in all i had a pre-test on fuel pump replacement not what i wanted to do with a pinched nerve in my back. on a good day i could swap one of those out in a hour with a six pack 3 or 4 with a half rack either way better than 3 days of tear jerking pain and diagnostic,crack another one before i'm patching drywall the next morning.nothing like learning something new thou makes a guy feel good,makes me wonder why i have been fighting it since 7th grade if it isn't hard or troublesome i probaly wouldn't pay attention or be interested anyway.so bottom line low voltage at the fuel pump wire harness like mine at 3.5v replace the relay and check that before you pull the pump to find it works fine on the bence
