Worst stuck pic thread

ill add mine. first time taking it out. open, 3.55, at 30s, no lift. got high centered. shock mounts in the back and diff in the front were holding me up. all 4 tires i could stick my hand under. a jeep on 35s and locked got me out with a recovery strap. a total of 3 times.

Reminds me of a day I had, pouring rain, this trail got all muddy and the front diff of my old TTB innocently landed right inside a hollow stump. Only had my bottle jack back then and just couldn't set it on anything big enough to get it to lift since it kept sinking in the mud. Only needed about two inches. It was awesome...

Not one of my proudest moments, but I did attract some attention at the OHV recreation area this past weekend.

I knew this little ravine was there, but I stopped to watch some ATV's and dirt bikes driving around the mud pit. Once that was over, I just put it in drive, totally forgetting about the obstacle in front of me and drove straight in! It came as a surprise for about a half second and then I instantly knew what I had done. DOH! A light pull from the strap was all I needed to get my front tires enough grip to drive out.

I've done that same thing!! Luckily I had a big hefty buddy of mine to hop up and down on my rear bumper allowing my rear tires to get more traction. It was actually pretty funny.

Driver error

This is in the San Luis Reservoir. This was about 2 years ago, now this reservoir is full and you wouldnt be able to drive here. This was some serious mud.

My ex. gf and I were just out driving around in 4wd and atv tire tracks across this wet area fooled me. I was driving way too slow to get across. we walked 2 hours back to camp and found a hummer H1 to drive us back to try and pull us out, no luck. I left it over night and in the morning went to walmart to get shovels. Hummer didnt get me out but a stock 4Runner did.

Figures, i can drive around all day at an offroad park and never got stuck but when no one is around i get stuck.

Good thing the airbags didn't deploy.

You know, others out there said they were surprised my airbags didn't go off. I pretty much just rolled into that ravine. I wasn't going too fast. I don't know enough about the airbag system to know if there was a danger or not. I know there are sensors behind the grille, but they have to be crushed to set off the airbags. Are there accelerometers within the airbag module that could have set off the airbags without actual crash damage?

It depends on the angle and speed of impact, I've kicked a truck in the front bumper before and the bags deployed. Luckily it was already getting parted out and junked.

Yeah i wasnt really wheeling, just driving around in gravel and dirt roads. Some larger rocks while getting down to the sand, but nothing crazy.


i didnt have any respect for this vehicle until i took it to hollister offroad park in hollister, CA. This truck basically lost its virginity there because i beat on every skid plate and left with the rear bumper hanging near the ground. This is why i went driving around the reservoir, i knew there wasnt anywhere that the car wasnt capable of going, until i found this sink hole.

I know you all already know what these things can do, but this is not known by very many at an offroad park.

amasa valley slowed down to read a map and wham into the quagmire

took three days this is day two when a road grader was brought up after a f350 couldnt get us out and then the grader got stuck folowed by another grader thankfully we got that out finally they brought a cat excavator to use put it behind the second grader attached cables to the stuck grader it also started to sink in then the millard county road crew decided to go around the stuck grader and pull us out with a cable attached to the bucket and my suspension luckily it didnt break anything

one guy had been stuck up there for 9 days before we got there his transfer case was shot and only had 2wd in his navajo the road up had been breached by the stream and was washed to the point that they filled it in for the grader

Looks like this thread hasnt seen any business since september, but here goes.

My buddy and I got in his stock '01 sport and decided to hit some new mud we found right after a huge storm. It was that super slippery stinky mud that we refer to as "poopoo mud." Halfway through something popped the right rear AND left front tire. Made it right to the very end where we sunk right in.

We called a friend who brought his '96 5.0 ex down there and pulled all night but sice we couldnt pull from dry it was no use, the truck was caught up in roots with 2 flats. Eventually the '96 ex lost a tire also so we called a friend to bring his Ram down which broke all of our chain and straps by romping on it before getting itself stuck.

It took 3 days and 2 nights to dig out all the trucks to where we could pull them out.

Mud bath pretty much sums it up, for both us and the truck! Idk there was seriously something going on with that mud. My friend with the 97 ex bought an f350 mud truck on new 38s a few days after, took it down there and almost got that stuck!
