My ABS light came one last night(right after I bounced up my curb at about 10 mph) so I dont know if my dumb driving could have triggered something, but my rear shoes are dang near gone. Would a sensor read into this or is it something else? One time I knocked a harness loose but I checked these. I am swapping in the disc axle in the next week or two hopefully but would like to isolate this problem first
Thanks

Yes, it could if the lack of shoes is causing a lack of brake fluid.

If changing your shoes, pads (if necessary), and checking or filling your fluid reservoir (after changing and checking brake hardware) doesn't fix the problem, then look elsewhere.

I know that the ABS light comes on every once in a while on my sister's '94 Explorer, but I haven't had the time to check the problem out. Since it's EEC-IV, I don't have a one port solution to getting the code like I do on my '97 Mountaineer that is EEC-V. I think that I have to use the cheap "light flashing" code reader under the hood at the ABS port.
