Would this work for my X??

'99 XLT 4x4
Could I install these long link traction bars on my 99 XLT 4x4? Do they really help with traction, if so how would they effect ride quaility?

they will hurt articulation and hamper ground clearance... but i guess it is a doable thing seeing as they were available for the bII and ranger
 






They realy don't help "traction", they help reduce spring wrap. From my experience spring wrap is not a problem on the Explorer due to its spring under axle mounting design. The BII and Ranger are spring over which induces axle wrap, thus making these a necessary add on.
