Anybody know the lug pattern on a 90 Wrangler? I know it's 5 on something. Anyone know off hand if it is 5 on 4.5?

I'll tell you 85% its 5 bolt 4.5"... because I know people have been able to swap our wheels with jeep wheels, etc. but not sure if they changed it any point. As far as I know most of the jeeps have always been 5 bolt 4.5"... but I'm no expert, LOL.

What are if any other lug patterns for the Explorer?

I want to know because Explorer Wheels are hard to come by! (Here in Saudi) If not expensive. Question can I use another Vehicles Rims on my Explorer?

So far Explorers have always been 5 on 4.5

CBougg: a freind asked is the bolt patern on a 90 Wrangler is 5 on 4.5?
BootsntheJeep: yup
CBougg: ok thanks!
BootsntheJeep: everything besides CJs is 5 on 4.5. cjs are 5 on 5.5
CBougg: ahh ok
BootsntheJeep: wranglers, cherokees, grand cherokees, all 5 on 4.5. could be different backspacings between them, that's the catch
CBougg: ok thanks

as just mentioned yes they are 4.5 I test fit a jeep today with my 33's, i hate to say this but the little xj didn't look half bad.

The Rangers, Mustangs and Thunderbirds are 5x4.5 just like the Explorer also.

Not the older 5.0 mustangs(before 93)they had 4 lug wheels.

Thanks a lot guys. Now my fiance's sis won't have to buy new tires. She lives 900 miles away so that's why I was asking, I wasn't able to test fit them.

so would explorer rims fit a cherokee then?

backspacing

Be careful , although the bolt pattern is the same between the Explorer and the Jeeps the back spacing is almost an inch more. The explorer rims Ive looked at are around 4 1/2 back spacing, and the Jeeps are in the 5.25- 5.75 area. So straight swaps between the two may cause some problems.

Good call! The way I see it is if they won't fit she can at least have the tires and sell the rims. She is a college girl so very low in the $ area.
