howdy peps.
I am slowly fixing the small problems on my 93 explorer. one of these problems was loose connections for the speakers on the front and blown speakers in the rear.
after repairing the wiring in the front speakers I pulled the panel off the rear driver side door and took the speaker out with the intention of replacement. I have a set of reasonably good duals that will fit. in any case they dont actually plug in. Not a problem I know how to solder.
its a minor problem really. I went searching for the correct positive negative colors. Mine on that side is green with a orange strip and the other is a pink with a blue strip.
so I am looking at color codes here and other places. Nothing is the same colors as mine. and mine are definitely factory wires.
I am going to hook it up regardless of having a inverted speaker or not but can anyone explain why mine appear different then others?

The passenger side rear door speaker has the exact same color of wires(green with a orange strip and pink with a blue strip) as the driver side rear door. Nevertheless the new speaker is in and its functioning in stereo.
