Going by the whirring noise with the squeaking, I am going to say power steering pulley/pump.

take your belt off and spin all your pulleys , see if they spin freely, IF they do change belt tensioner... I had to replace the tensioner on my Ranger last winter, same noise

Thanks for the tips!! I spun them all by hand once I replaced everything. I'll pull the belt in the morning and check again.

The P/S pump had resistance, but I was thinking it was like that based on the fact it has fluid in it.

One thing I forgot to mention (can't remember if I shot it in the video); if AC compressor cycles and squeaking almost goes away completely.

Also after replacing the water pump, there was no squeaking until about 5 minutes of it running to circulate the coolant

Robrt32 - I put on the a new belt tensioner when did all the other work.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far!! Looks like I have some good leads for in the morning. . .

I know you can try to put a bar of soap on the belt and sometimes that works. It did that for me sometimes with my 94'

Think I found the problem . . .

Belt slip at the P/S pulley

I sprayed some water on the P/S pulley while it was running and squeaking went away. . . .

I pulled the belt it is ate the **** up . . . Duralast piece of crap . . .

Off to get a Gatorback.

How long ago did you replace the belt?

Regardless of who made it, it should last a good few years. If it's fairly new, I'm thinking you might have another issue causing the belt to go bad, and the same thing will happen to a Gatorback.

Mike:

The belt was done back in Feb, I think. I replaced before I did the P/S. I replaced the pump and used the pulley from the toasted/leaky one. It started screaming pretty bad

I cleaned the P/S pulley pretty good. I just put the gatorback belt on and all appears to be fine. If it starts squeaking again, I'll replace the pulley . . . Now off to do front wheel bearings . . .

Got me to laughing over here......SHIIIIEEEEEEE hahahahahaha, excellent description though, but comical as hell.

I'd go for belt tensioner or alternator pulley. Mine used to do that until I replaced both. Didn't think to replace one to see if the other was culprit.

Idler Pulley and/or Tensioner Pulley. They can be re-greased to save them. But their replacement is cheap enough.
