easiest way...........
take out all the seats and put in a carbon fiber driver's seat.

perry's fab n fiber has fiberglass fenders and hoods...

How 'bout a custom-made hollow carbon fiber driveshaft? lol. There are fiberglass hoods, but you need hood pins for most of them i think. (but hood pins look cool) I don't think you'll want the fiberglass fenders (since you posted this in the sport-trucks forum). Those fenders are flared for big tires and off-road use.

Here's a list of what I've come up with:

lose running boards
lose roof racks
replace heavy stock power seats
lose or get an aluminum spare
lose rear fluid tank
lose factory stereo amp (will have to replace stereo)
fiberglass hood (www.speedfreak.cc or www.saleen.com)
replace rear bumper w/ roll pan

I will be weighing my stock seats soon, I'll let you know what they weigh.

How much you wana spend, and what do you wana use it for?

Many off-road racing classes won't allow you to change the engine, Thus the less weight the truck has the better it's odds are at winning. It's VERY common to lose the carpet, seats, windows(replace with lexan), the large gas tanks, dash boards. I'm guessing this isn't the route you're wanting to go. With wanting a daily driver to weigh less and get better MPG a new set of seats will work best. They weigh a ton due to the cheaper stuff Ford uses over aftermarket to keep them cozzy. Replacing the glass with Lexan will also cut alot of weight, but will cost ya. It's gotta be custom made, and not alot of places will do it.

Like I said, How much do you wana spend, and what do you want to use it for.

:)

thankx for the info guys- much appreciated. Don't have too much money but i have some. Whats a pretty average price on some seats?
