I bought a pre programed tuner from Bama chips for my 2008 V8 Limited. It made quite a difference.

I got three tunes, 86 octane perf, 89 torque and 93 performance. I run the 93 performance all the time. I noticed about 1 mpg better fuel mileage with any of the tunes and a good difference in performance, especially with the 93 tune.

The annoying throttle lag or hesitation is pretty much history.

Good bang for the buck.

So have you tried the 86/87 performance tune?

Yes, I ran the 86 performance for about 3 tanks of gas. Better power than stock and much less throttle lag or hesitation as some call it.

The 93 performance is far and away the best, but of course the fuel bill is stiffer.

Like I said, very good bang for the buck.

Thanks for the help....

The transmission program is not changed. That would be nice if he could.

Just picked up my 08 adrenaline and I am doing a tuner muffler and cai. My
f-150 had a tuner and I could change the shift firmness. The one thing I hate about the ST is the trans it is so smooth yo can't tell it's shifting.

BigV, you did it... you got the ADRENALIN !
Good luck with it.
Is this the silver one you mentioned in an earlier post?
or did you find another color?

Not familar with these BAMA chips you're talking about...
Is this a simple drop in?
Or do you have to mess with the intake system and exhaust?

Thanks.

It's the silver one it's loaded every option the truck rocks and for a stock sound system with a sub woofer it is damn loud.

I've been looking for the SCT tuners for our truck and can't find them SCT allows tranny adjustments. Where can I get a super ship tuner for the 4.6 ST

You got "The Silver Bullet"... good for you! There was a silver STA at my local dealer for all of three days, and it SOLD quick... poof it was gone. They got a black STA in next... it sat around for maybe two weeks before it sold... It was sharp... When we saw the white STA a week later, we were hooked. Rumor is the white ones are "the fastest" STA's... hehehehehe.

I wanted the white first silver second but I got such a good deal on the silver I could not pass it up. I have every option and nav the truck was over 40,000 and I paid 30,500. I know the owner of the dealership he took a 800 dollar loss including the hold back. He just wanted to get rid of it it was a special order and the guy wanted nav. They got the nav and put it in but the guy had already went to another dealer and bought one. My buddy was pissed the truck just sat on the lot then again they didn't have it listed on there site.

Yeah I love the silver but the white is just so clean looking. Hey who am I to complain your right I got a great deal I should STFU and just be happy.

BigV,

I brought mine home on Monday night, Dec,22nd. I'm still in shock I have it... it's been so frickin cold up here, I really haven't taken the time yet to check out everything that's on it, and how all the gadgets work. Looking forward to using the phone SYNC.

I don't have NAV, so I'll be looking at GPS units. Sears has the KNIGHTRIDER GPS on sale. Apparently it has several hundred names saved, so you can set it to say "Hello - - - - - " . Might look into buying that for the STA.

Man, I love the big wheels... and lack of roof rails. This is a very custom machine. Driving home last night I kicked 'er down hard to pass a car... BIG GRINS !!!

A friend gave me a big red Christmas bow yesterday, so I'm gonna take a couple of pictures today with the red bow on the white STA.

Enjoy the "Silver Bullet" BigV. TTYL.

I have a garmin nuvi 200w and love it they cost around 130.00 and are very easy to use and have a 4.3 in screen.

6 speed trans is not controled by computer. it is internally controled.
