XLT side-action shock

My 4-door XLT has one of these (like all 4-doors) and so far, I've found that only Bilstein lists an after-market replacement. What's the typical life expectancy of the factory side-action shock? Any advantage in using Bilstein over OEM in this case?

I just wanted to bump this up. Just curious what yall think. i didnt even know there was a aftermarket shock for this application.

They usually last A LONG time. They don't get much action, so they don't go bad often.

There really isn't any use for it, stock or aftermarket. A lot of people just remove it and don't even notice it is gone.
