$109 at Best Buy right now. Picked mine up today, will be installing (if you can call drilling a couple of holes an "install") it this weekend.

If you have a deck with an AUX in, should wire right up with zero unsightly adapters/modulators kickin' around.

Not a bad price for a slick little unit.

ive got a skyfi and its works great, otherwise i wish i had a roady :)

I am currently borrowing my buddys roadie.

It is way cool.

I really don't want to give it back.

I presonally however can not justify the monthly expense of XM.

I can justify the $9.95...
1. Less than the price of ONE cd!!!
2. No commercials
3. More music than you could ever imagine you'd listen to
4. Bragging rights:D .... "Hey guess what... I got Satellite Radio in my car:p "
5. Awesome for roadtrips and long distance traveling
6. Cool little remote that comes with it too:)

1) I collect CD's.
2) My CD's don't have comercials either
3) I have near 900 CD's
4) I have near 900 CD's
5) Agree completely. I do have a 6-disc changer however.
6) My HU is not so far away I need a remote :D

Monmix~:p Just get it man. bite the bullet

{Devil's Advocate}

How about converting them all to MP3 and getting an iPod?

But that's still some work :p

Well, I installed it. My thoughts:

YEAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Er, um..

I drive a '98, and the dark spot in the dash where the two change holder/cubby's are always drove me nuts. So I fabbed up a piece to span the upper one, and mounted the roady there. A little sheet metal, couple of screws, voila!

I'm headed to the fabric store right now to grab some vinyl or felt to clean up the install a bit (since sheet metal doesn't exactly look good ;) ) but.

WOW. For $119, this thing it worth it for the lights alone. I drove back from my buddy's garage last night in pure dash-light bliss. Anyone who's a ***** for a good looking dash like me should really pick one of these up. The display is AWESOME.

I have an Alpine 7876, which has an AUX in but uses the AI-Net (m-bus) input for it, so it cost me an extra 20-spot for the mbus/rca converter. Plus an extra 20 for the Y-Connector to go from 1/8" to RCA but I digress.

This thing rocks. Buy one and be happy. :)

Edit: Pics coming as soon as I make the install happy.

Pics:

It's freezing out, so I just snapped these quickly. Still need to make it a little neater, but it's about 0 or so degrees outside - it looks good enough to wait until spring. :)

I'll grab some night/display pics as soon as it's dark. :)

Why did you do the antenna through the window instead of through the door gap? Just wondering.

:D Because I ran the wire last night, and wanted to get it done as quick as possible - not sure if it'd pinch the wire.

Once it's not sub-zero up here, I'll make that a little better looking and probably run it through the door gap.

How much did you pay for that Alpine HU... I like:D\

And how did you cover up the "pocket" under the HU? I would like to know how to do it.

Because I am 90% done with my sound instal.
Moving up to, iPod and MP3 or what ever will require too much back tracking.

*sigh*

Night pics:

The thing has 7 or so colors, I just prefer this one.

Looks good! I'm thinking about getting one of these. Not sure if I want a new Pioneer XM ready HU or this Roady.

I'm not real sure on how it would connect to my current Sony HU, I haven't found any converter cables for it.

Which model HU? Does it have AUX ins?

If you got the roady, you could get an FM modulator for it (around $50, maybe a wee more for a good one) if you don't. If you do, $20 y-cable. :)

Cleaned up the install a bit today, took a couple of pics.

I pulled out the cubby thinger, drilled a hole in the back and ran all of the wires through there. Much cleaner. It looks a little crooked in the top pic - it's moved around because I can't resist armor all wipes when I see them. :)

I'll be making a better looking bracket in the spring, but for a cold-weather install, not too bad. :)

UPDATED info on Roady roady2

The roady2 has built in wireless fm transmitter.

$129 gets you the Roady2, car kit, and a coupon for a home kit.

Nice and small. I will move it from car to car to home to my MOTORCYCLE.

Use with some good $50 sony earbuds and awsome sound inside the helmet.

Do you have to get that color? Also how much does best buy charge to install?
