Here's my idea... I don't want my front end cluttered, and there's not enough room for 4 lights on my brushguard, so what do y'all think of 3 lights? I know it looks different at first, but I like being different and the look is growing on me. I would have the outside ones being 100W fogs and the inner one will be a 130W driving. I figure when those 3 + high beams + factory fogs are on, I would pretty much be able to light up any nasty situation (off road of course). Anyway, opinions? (What the heck you thinking, Brett you're on crack, i like it, etc... all are appropriate responses)

Here's 4 lights, but I think this looks too cluttered and it would involve welding tabs to the brush guard.

I liked it better with two. But three is ok.

You should just get a light bar for the top and throw 4 up there. That would look/work great.

The middle two aren't high enough, here, I kinda eyed it and put them right under the top bar. I think it looks better wit 4, not really that cluttered. I've seen a lot worse.

I agree 100%

But lights on the roof are horribly illegal to use on the road. I guess I can see myself using these on really dark back roads, so thats why I was wanting to put them down low. That and a kayak would decimate any lights on top and loading skis would be difficult too...

Four.

That pic with the four lights actually looks pretty nice. If you don't mind welding a couple of tabs on your light bar, do that.

I like the look either way. The 3 lights gives it a pre-runner kinda look.

I was going to go with 3 lights on mine until I found a place to get a replacement lens. however, I have rectangular lights so that would look really weird.

i like it a actually thought about doing it on mine but just never did, also is that a westin grill

I like the look of 3 lights. 4 is overcrowded. And not everyone has cash to fork out for a light bar on top. Looks good to me!

i think the three lights looks alright but the four looks better.

I really don't mind welding (I would have to pay someone to do it though) but then that would mess up the powdercoating wouldn't it? B/c once I weld, I'd have to repaint the area, and doesn't powdercoating flake off once the area is marred up?

TravisC: yeah, I guess I had them a little low

The thing I don't like about welding is that the lights would be mounted upside down, so you'd be always be looking at the bottom of the mounting bolts.

My girl friend says the 4 lights makes it look more like a Jeep (take that how you will).

This wouldn't cause airflow problems to the radiator would it?

Thanks for all of y'alls input, its kinda cool seeing how split everyone's opinions are.

Try the fogs below the bumper and the driving above the bumper. They would do the most good that way also.
If not, the three looks good also.
More the better I always say....

I noticed you erased your plate number. I never understood the reason why people do this? :(

Turning on those lights on the bumper while onroad would also be horribly illegal in VA.:D

I would personally just stick with two. It should provide enough lighting and is less of a blockage to the radiator.

X-factor, I used to wonder the same thing. I actually started a thread here somewhere asking the same question. I think it is in ETUTS somewhere.

Well, you'll also notice thats pretty much the only one that was blurred. I was showing pics to my gf last night and she went on about how I should do that. So that pic got blurred, and I'm too lazy to blur the rest.

And Robb,

Yeah, my KC's on there are illegal, but I have em relay'd off my high beams, so I'm not blinding anybody. My thought is... If I'm driving on 64 with no one to blind, I'm probably more likely to get pulled over with roof lights on, than bumper lights if a cop were to happen to see me go by.

Terrible idea. Lights below the bumper are just begging to get torn off the first time you take it offroad.

What about two where you have them for driving lights, and two in the corners below the license plate for fogs?

first off i like the three lights.

Why do people blur their plates?
On boards like this people talk about all they have on their truck, where they live etc...with the plates it would be pretty easy to find your truck and steal all your stuff. I mean think about it, people talk about how stuff is secured to their truck, where amps are hidden, what kind of alarm they have etc.... some say its bein paranoid, others disagree...but it has happened before.

I think I understand what you're saying.. I guess I'm paranoid about having lights below the bumper b/c I've had nice expensive fog lights catch rocks on my old Acura (And Clarkkent busted his Black Magics having them down low)

Yeah, and I think the blurring of the plate isn't really worth the time. Thats why there's only one like that. I mean, anyone can see my plates when I'm driving anyway.
