WOOHOOOO, just a matter of time now. 19th build date I think (from my dealer who called me yesterday), but the last I heard from Crystal was a ETA of Jan 21.

I ordered mine on Dec 14th and still don't even have a VIN, let alone a build date...

Mine got scheduled with a vin 3 days after I ordered it. Combination of A Plan, a dealer with many allocations and a Priority 10 on the order.

What priority did your dealer order it as? Retail or Stock order? If you have your order number and dealer name I can find out.

It was a priority 10 Retail order if I recall correctly - don't have the order details on me at the moment

If it's a retail 10 should have been scheduled by now unless your dealer doesn't have an allocation right now. You might get lucky as scheduling gets done on Thur, so check tomorrow.

Ordered mine October 20th it just got built yesterday 1/11/13. 14 week wait is a long time but I am sure it will be worth the wait. From what I have read on the forum. Allocation is the key if the dealer does not have a spot then you must wait for them to get a allocation. My Sport is Black, Senna inserts, Moonroof, tow 402a................can't wait

so mine was built on the 15th and is awaiting shipment. Still an ETA of Jan 21 but since it hasn't shipped that may change. Its killing me! Im ready to start driving it.

When they assign a build date, how long does it take to build the vehicle and then how long between the time it's finished being built and the actual arrival at the dealership? I know these would be approximate times. I ordered mine on 1-12-13 with a priority 19.

So here was my schedule. Based on what I am seeing, the delivery timeframes are shrinking but are based on your dealers allocation for number of cars. Here is my date layout
Ordered 12/4
VIN 12/16
Sticker 1/10
Built 1/15 (despite a build date of 1/19)
ETA (scheduled for 1/21 but the system doesn't show it as shipped yet so I doubt ill get it Monday)

Here is my schedule

12/15/12 Ordered at Dealer
12/19/12 - Order appears
1/7/13 - Vehicle enters production and Window Sticker Available
1/14/13 - Vehicle produced
1/15/13 - Vehicle begins shipment

Currently the vehicle is in transit. The ETA was 1/21 but yesterday it was 1/24

Pete...go check your dealer.... My guess is that it may already be there. Mine had same build date/shipment. Mine was ready yesterday and I picked it up this morning (Friday). I am in Cleveland. You are gonna love it.

Vehicles are not produced with vins in sequential order. I've seen two Explorers with a vin one digit away from each other built 10 days apart.
