Yet another Newbie!

Hi everyone! From Massachusetts here new to Explorer ownership. We bought a '96'with a 160,000 on it for 4500.00 seemed like a good deal! The Body and interior are in great shape and I hear alot of good things about the 4.0 I knew there would be some issues with this,(I should have found this site first!) So to keep it short after;
Transmission Rebuild.
New Rack andPower steering Pump.
Upper Control Arms and Ball Jionts.
Right Front Wheel Bearing.
I need to do the Heater Control Damper Plate,But since it is winter and in the heat position it will wait for now! We have a few Jeeps as well, Thats where the handle is from. Thanks all for the info I have already gotten out of archives to get this rig road ready!

I think you will find a wealth of information here, so don't be afraid to ask questions. We also have a good searh engine that can help you find just about anything you would want to know. There are quite a few Jeepers on board so if you have any questions about your jeeps, I'm sure they can help you out on that also.

I figured when buying any car with high miles you are better off to get one that needs work, So then you can be sure needed repairs are done correctly and any warrentees are yours right from the start, As long as the numbers don't get out of hand!
