I just got a set for my 96 and ran them at 33-34 lbs and the centers of the tires seem warm after even a short trip (outsides are cool, center 2-3 inches is warm) so I aired them down to 30 and am going to try that out. But I was just curious what air pressure you guys run that will give me even tire wear.

On 15 X 8 wheels I run 32psi and have great wear.

depends on the tire and it's construction as well as wheel width. Only way to find your pressure is run a chalk line across the tread, side to side. roll over it a couple times and see where the chalk disappears from. If it's the outside, add a couple p.s.i. and repeat until you have even wear across the chalk line. Opposite if the chalk disappears on the center, drop a couple p.s.i. and try it again.

Very good idea. I'll give that a try. I tried 30 psi and from driving, the tire feels to be the same temperature evenly across now. But I'll try the chalk thing too, thanks.

I have 32`s on a 96 x and I ran 36 psi for the longest time just to check my door sticker again recently and it says 26! Well I'm currently running 30 psi and I've had no uneven wear on my bfg a/t and it's been 6 years since iv replaced them and still have about 80% tread on them Love those bfg's!!
