I needed new tires for my '97 ex. Going to a local tire shop (fill in the blank).
I was quoted about $840 and the upgraded tires were more expensive, blah, blah, blah.

I found what I wanted online and had them here in 2 days for a total of $549.
$40 mount and balance carry-in.

I did something similar a few years ago. I went to the big chain tire shop and got a price on a set of BFG KM2's, then showed them the much lower price I could get them from an online place, including delivery. They agreed to match the online price and I had my tires same day.

One benefit of buying local could include free rotations and free flat repairs, if they offer it...
