Well this week I was heading home and I heard a pretty loud pop from the rear, figured it was just the Detroit and kept driving, then I started hearing a series of clicks followed by a big pop, I limped it home and parked it. Next day I pulled the cover to find all most all the teeth off the pinion gear laying in the bottom of the diff. The gears are about 3 years old, and everything is still tight, bearings and all, anyone else had any prob like this??? I will post some pics when I get them it has been below freezing all day and I am not working in that!

Who set it up for you? Yukon usually has a nice warranty on their gears. I have seen the little spider gear shims (thin piece of metal that goes behind the spider gears that the spider gears rotate on) fall out or not be in there and cause the same problem.

a guy a work with built the whole thing for me, he is very experienced, I am running a detroit so no spiders, however I have seen what you are talking about before.

I called Randy's R&P and they (yukon) only carry 1 year warr. but he made me a great deal, am paying less for this gear set and a master install kit shipped, than i did for orginal R&P themselves. Yet again Randy's proves to be a top notch company to deal with!
