Hi Im Kevin and this is my 2001 Sport that I bought second hand in Florida in January 2005 with 58,000 miles for $7000. I've had her now for almost 18 years in NYC and she's now got 164,000 miles and still running and looking great! I use her for my Home theater business and hasn't let me down or stranded ever! If you're in Brooklyn and looking to meet up let me know. Here's a recent YouTube video I shot of her 21st birthday detailing.
I bought my 93' EB a couple years ago from the original owner with the complete service history of the vehicle, even down to the original Firestone recall letter. I have been creeping the forums ever since. It is currently a stock setup and I plan to keep it that way as it is my daily driver, and is already suited to driving in my climate. It currently has 140k on the odometer and retains the factory cayman green.
Hello all, I bought a 1991 Explorer XLT, 5spd, manual hubs and transfer case in March. I sold my dirt bikes in Oregon last year to make room and money for my wife and I to move up to Anchorage, AK for an awesome job opportunity for her. I planned to buy another dirt bike when we got here, but a couple months after moving we found out we would be having our first child, so something that can take the whole family out would be a better purchase for now. When we were living in the Oregon desert I wanted to build a super simple, lightweight, go fast Ranger or Bug, but being in Alaska now meant needing something that could handle mud and snow. My budget was pretty slim ($3000, ideally less) with having just had a wedding, a baby, and bought...
Hi I'm Craig from Hood River Oregon. This is basically the condition i bought it in. I've had to replace a the shocks, driver side wheel bearing, brakes, a fuel injector, valve cover gaskets, and an alternator. After reading on this site for awhile i wanted to make my truck look a little more rugged so i installed some new lights and went playing in the snow. The next day, I was at work taking a delivery in my truck when i hit a patch of ice when a guy stopped for a pedestrian. more damage to him than me. I went to a junkyard the next week and picked up a bumper and grille for $80 dollars you pull it, at the same time on craigslist a grille guard was for sale so i bought it as well. Then after that i put the lights back...
Here is my 97 xlt 4-door just brought it home a month ago. Going through the necessary repairs and cleaning. With only 121,600 miles and an overall great condition to start with, I believe we will have many miles of road behind us. Just replaced thermostat housing, fuel filter, oil &filter, air filter, cleaned maf, 2 rear interior door handles, the truck came with a newer set of of tires less than 6 months old. The only problem that remains is the dreaded p0171/p0174 engine codes, however that will be resolved next week as I have an appointment with Ford diagnostic specialist. And whatever the issue is I will do the repair, most likely intake o-ring seals. Trans shifts flawlessly and the 3:73 limited slip rear axle appears to have...
Hello! I Made my account here on EF For a few years now, I've responded to a few threads here and there, but I finally did the Elite Explorer deal (2 for 1) this last November, and I'm Glad I did! (Especially Now!) Ever since I was little, I loved our families 97 2 door Explorer we bought in 2002 with about 10k miles on it. (It's a Sport, 4x4, 3.73 w/LSD, 4.0 OHV, 5 Speed Auto). My siblings and I grew up in it and I always said I wanted to drive it, but my parents daily drove it and I never really thought about how realistic that would be that I could drive it one day. Well, fast forward to when I was about to get my permit, the lower intake manifold gasket broke. My family and I didn't know that much about engines, and the Explorer...
Hey, my names Stephen I live in Hamilton, MT and I've been lurking on this forum since I got my first X, it was a 1993 eddie baur that was kinda beat and only had 126k on it. but after discovering this forum I've regretted getting an auto after hearing how much of a pain they are, so not wanting to get invested in something that was bound to fail. That brings me to today! I found a clean 1994 sport, the man who was selling said it was his dads and he bought in 1996 for 11,000 and trading in his 1989 bronco XLT. I decided with how clean it was and some dickering I got it for $2100 with 123k miles on the 6 digit odometer. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow, but its the cleanest X I have seen in Montana.
