1993 ford explorer xlt
hi i have a 1993 ford explorer recently replaced the thermostat no matter how much i drive. the temrature doesnt reach the middle of the gauge it just stays below the "N" on normal any suggestions?

It could be stuck open. Take it out and test it in boiling water/cold water to see if it is opening and closing properly. Then again, I just noticed that you are in S.D. and I would be suprised if your engine even has a chance to warm all the way up with the temps. that you have this time of the year. You could try blocking the front grill off with cardboard and see if that makes a difference if you really don't want to pull the thermostat and check it.

Burp?

Did you burp it? These 93's require elevating the front a little to get all of the air out. As mentioned, you are a lot colder than us in the panhandle of Florida.
