2015 Limited Explorer....what is that red dashed line?

I noticed a red dashed line in the windshield driver side. My guess is it for lane assist? Can someone please confirm?

It will flash to notify you that the car in front of you is slowing down or something or that there might be a crash that might occur. There should be a DVD that came with the car and it would explain the adaptive cruise control on there.

When that red light flashes it is telling that the car or object in front of you has slowed down and there can be a accident, and while that light flahes your brake system is getting pumped.

It is part of the Collision Avoidance system. The LED lights are actually mounted in the dash. See page 259 of your Owner's Guide.
