2002 and 2003 computer

Hello

I have a guy that is selling a jet computer chip for 2002 Ford Explorer. I have a 2003.

Does anyone know if there is difference between 2002 and 2003 computer? I looked up the the jet website and shows different models for 2002 and 2003 but I cannot see why Ford would make a computer change between years.

Anyone have any comments on using computer chips in their explorers?

isn't the 2003 fly by wire..??....the 2002 is a cable operated throttle body(well ....my 2 are)

I believe fly by wire came in 2004. Easy enoght to see by looking at T.B. imp
