Hi,

I just inherited a '96 Explorer Sport.

Body has some rust issues due to be left in the elements in Missouri. Also found that the trip odometer and odometer are only occasionally functioning. She reports 156K, but it might be 2 -5 K more than that.

Any recommendations for the rust or anything else would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome Joe. Your pictures did not show up. What are the rust issues you have?.

Along the running boards, on both sides I have rust. On the passenger side it is much worse. Als you can see, there is surface rust on the front, but I believe I can sand that out and paint that. It is along the doors that I am most worried about.

Thanks

Joe my wife's 99 Sport had a small area on the r/s rocker panel & the drivers side was real bad. I cut out the old metal & welded in new metal.
